Throwback Thursday - Daisy

Last month, our sweet Daisy turned eight! How did that happen so quickly?
Here are some of my favourite pictures of Daisy in today's Throwback Thursday special...

Mum's Busy!

So busy in fact, that I've not had time so blog in ages!

Time seems to have run away from me lately and finding time to update this blog has just been impossible. We've had two birthdays in our house and have two more coming up. I've been preparing for Christmas and have manages to do lots of shopping and wrapping. I've started a new series of courses, studying bookkeeping and accounts.

However, with the first half of the first term of the new school year pretty much over, I thought I should probably take a little time to catch up - I don't understand how people get time to blog everyday, as I barely get time to pee! So here I am, weeks after my last blog post, getting caught up.

I guess the biggest change in our house has been Autumn. She turned one in September and is just continuing to thrive and change every day. She's constantly learning new skills and is amazing us with her speech. She passed her one year check with flying colours. She's between the 50th and 75th percentiles for her height and weight, and when corrected back to when she should have been born, she's between the 75th and 91st. We're thrilled, that our preemie is doing so brilliantly.

She says so much, including; love you, spider, cuddles, baby, Daisy, Roo, Ella, Ashley, Lou Lou, cake, bot-bot, poo, hiya, and bye-bye, in addition to the usual things for a baby her age, such as Mum, Dad, and Nan. And of course, her Auntie Gemma (who is a bad influence) has been teaching her to say 'sexy.'

Over the summer she finally leant to crawl, got her first two teeth (on the same day), and has several more now. She can now cruise along the furniture and stand unaided (when it suits her) and we're sure walking is close. Her hand-eye co-ordination and fine motor skills are where they should be, which is brilliant as I was concerned about her sight when she was very young. Her favourite game is peek-a-boo and she gives such sweet cuddles.

Meanwhile, Rebecca had to have surgery to remove a difficult tooth due to over-crowding, her ingrowing toenail has returned with a vengeance and she is now unable to wear school shoes. She's scheduled for a second toe op next month.

The rest of the kids are doing brilliantly and coming on well at school. We're really pleased, although Ella's tummy continues to cause her occasional problems. Daisy also turned eight in September - I wish the kids wouldn't grow so fast. I'm not ready for it!

Warren had a Crohn's flare-up last week, which is now more manageable again, and I am still waiting for dental surgery - a process that was started in January.

Studying happens if and when I have time, but I am aiming to complete my level III, obtain the letters MICB after my name, and be in business early next year. I'll have even less time to blog then! And I'm already working on my business plan, and plans to reach out to new clients.

Apart from the usual housework, school runs, packed lunch making, and grocery shopping, I think that pretty much sums up what I have been up too over the past several weeks. I do intend to blog about our summer really soon, and next year, I'll have a trip to Vegas to blog about. :)

See you soon...
