About The Author

I started this blog as a way for me to track my family life - after all it goes by so quickly. So quickly in fact that I barely have time to blog at all! After all, with six kids, including a preemie, who really has time to sit around blogging all day when there is laundry to be done and beds to make and dinner to cook?! That said, I wanted to have somewhere that I could use to record my thoughts, feelings and memories and maybe swap tips with other mothers too.

This blog used to be titled Mother Aspirations for one reason - I aspire to be the best mother I can possibly be to my children. I haven't always gotten that right, sometimes in fact, I have messed up horrifically. Yet, people change and they learn and they grow. This blog is here to keep me on the right path and help me through my journey, so that when the kids are grown up, I won't have to look back on their childhoods with regrets.

These days, this blog is known as The Diary of a Desperate Housewife, because that is often how I feel. I'll clean something and half an hour later, it'll need cleaning again. I'm constantly battling the never ending laundry, and I spend more time in my car, than I do in my home! Hmm, maybe it should have been called The Diary of a Mother's Taxi Service!

I want to look back, knowing that I have raised kind, loving, hardworking children who I am very close to and who I have successfully prepared for life in the adult world. My children are a blessing and I intend to bless and enrich their lives as much as I can.
